Panera Bread Description:
Panera remains a favorite, even if the prices are a little steep. On busy State Route 436 near the Altamonte Mall, regulars stop by every morning for a fresh-brewed cup of java, from espressos to lattes to cappuccinos. The bakery is just too tempting to pass by, stacked with fresh bagels, breads and treats from biscotti to sticky pecan rolls. Lunch is jammed, too, with signature sandwiches served on oh-so-fresh bread. There are three to four soups on the menu each day, from broccoli cheddar to vegetable black bean and chicken chili. We like the salads, including the Greek, Caesar and the Asian chicken. If you want a loaf of sourdough to take home, go early; they sell out by mid-afternoon.
