A small establishment that exudes large flavors, its walls bear mementos of Mississippi life through fishing and riverboat photos. Down-home food is served in baskets on vinyl tablecloths. The zippy barbecue sauce on either baby-back ribs or pulled pork is less cloyingly sweet than some. Mississippi Sweets, wonderful, thin slices of sweet potato, curl up when fried into heaps of happiness. The baked beans are not only savory, but also smoky. With a bow to Florida, the made-on-the-premises Key lime pie is intensely tart and yellow, as it should be.
