Upper Crust Pizzeria Description:
Casual Coolidge Corner spot offers Neapolitan-style pizza, calzones, and salads. There is a large public metered parking lot behind the restaurant (accessible through an alley, or off of Centre St.). This is the second branch of this restaurant; the first is on Beacon Hill in Boston.
With a prime location adjacent to the Coolidge Corner Cinema in yuppie family-centric Brookline, this relatively handsome, blond wood-filled branch of a local pizza franchise does the proverbial brisk business, turning out thin, gnarled, slightly charred crusts with gourmet toppings like blue cheese, breaded veal and even scallops or lobster. Besides a signature white clam pizza (three cheeses---mozzarella, Asiago and ricotta---keep one another from overpowering the shellfish), the pesto-splashed pies are our default options.
