The beef is trimmed of excess fat, but everything else about the signature sandwiches is authentic. You can even get Cheese Whiz on your sandwich, just the way they serve them at Pat's, the legendary South Philly eatery that is Mecca to cheese steak aficionados. The sandwiches are served on delicious rolls baked daily on the premises. The chicken cheese steak is an even leaner alternative, and the menu also features a variety of burgers and low-fat hoagies. The wood-clad room is stylish for a fast-food joint and umbrella-laden tables are scattered on a pleasant brick patio by an elaborate stone fountain.
