You'll find a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at Sbicca's---nearly every night of the week, the place buzzes with after-work drinkers and local diners. We like to sit upstairs under the stars as we nosh on Susan Sbicca's eclectic American fare. Start with the panko-crusted prawns with papaya salsa or the sesame seared ahi with ruby-wasabi sauce and cucumber Serrano salsa. We enjoy the classic iceberg wedge with apple wood-smoked bacon and blue cheese dressing. For a decadent medley of flavors, try Susan's sinful mac 'n' cheese dish, which boasts lobster, shrimp, scallops, peas, corn and roasted red pepper, all nestled in pecorino ricotta, havarti and truffle cheese. We also favor the maple-roasted pork prime rib with vanilla-scented sweet potatoes and bourbon Chantilly sauce. A straightforward but satisfying option is the char-broiled filet mignon with English Coleman mustard butter, grilled onion relish and shoestring potatoes. A sweet finish arrives as a coconut Key lime tart with a macadamia coconut crust, lightly drizzled with raspberry sauce. Good deals on wine run consistently with their half-priced Tuesdays and Thursdays, and there is no corkage charge on Sundays and Mondays.
