Hidden behind a warehouse area of Richmond Marina, Salute surprises many diners when they come upon its New England yacht clublike building and its glassed-in dining veranda makes it the best place for view dining in the East Bay. The menu at Salute can be relied on for well-executed classic Italian dishes. Veal scaloppine, sautéed calamari with soft polenta, braised lamb shank and grilled salmon are good entrées.
