Nawab of India Description:
This reliable Indian restaurant offers an extensive, appealing menu filled with all the usual northern Indian dishes, many cooked in an authentic tandoor oven inside a semi-exhibition kitchen. Some of the curry dishes are perhaps too tentatively spiced, but the selection---including chicken vindaloo, lamb korma and a variety of seafood specialties---is impressive. We've also enjoyed the garlic naan and other breads from the tandoor, chicken tikka and assorted vegetarian dishes, all tastefully presented. It's a good looking place---an L.A. fusion of ancient and contemporary design elements---with linen-clad tables and traditional art lining whitewashed walls.
