Russian River Brewery Description:
A brew pub serving 7 ales and 3 belgians, plus one or more seasonal brews.
Food offerings are limited to foccaccia, calzone, pizza, and salad. Kids pizzas also available.
Casual atmosphere; various beer memorabilia scattered around the concrete walls. Individual seating available at the long bar, tall table adjacent, and a variety of regular tables nearby. Some outdoor seating available street-side.
After a day of sipping Russian River's reputable Pinot Noirs, change beverages but keep the appellation. Russian River Brewing Company boasts similar renown in the beer world. Don't take offense if the server recommends you accept Damnation---it's simply one of several Belgian-style ales on draught. Close to 20 house-made brews might be scrawled on the chalkboard in this cement-walled warehouse space accented by antique metal beer signs and burlap hops sacks. The pub's menu of pizzas, sandwiches, salads and requisite bar munchies tastes several notches above the usual. It borrows wine country's penchant for pairings, thoughtfully listing some rules: coordinate ales with sweet, such as caramelized onion, sun-dried tomato and feta pizza; something hoppy with aggressive spice, perhaps the moist meatball hero or "savage" wings; and barrel-aged brews with vinaigrette à la smoked salmon Gorgonzola salad. A popular gathering place, particularly for live music on weekends.
