Dean and Deluca Description:
From its launch perch in Manhattan, Dean & Deluca has spread its wings to other parts of the country, including Charlotte, where several locations keep the city's denizens well fed. At this branch, bright and airy with windows that look out onto the grounds of a luxury shopping emporium, guests may start with breakfast and good coffee and come back for sandwiches (we suggest the roast beef on whole-wheat) and salads made to order. Then return again for dinner on site or to take home. Prepared foods run a wide range, including dishes drawn from French classics and others with Asian touches. There are soups, desserts and, of course, a select grocery line-up to keep the home pantry in good order. Across the street is the company's California wine shop.
