Parking:

Men's Basketball Parking
Parking available on a first come first serve basis at The Park behind the UVA Law School and also in the North Grounds Parking lot which is located in front of the UVA Law School. Both of these are a park and walk area with the exception of The Park where a shuttle bus to and from the game is available.
Directions to UVA Emmet/Ivy Parking Garage – Utilize exit 118B off Interstate 64 and travel toward Charlottesville on the 29/250 Bypass. Take second exit onto Route 250 Business East. Turn right at the top of the exit. Turn left at third traffic signal into garage entrance.

Directions to Central Grounds Garage – Utilize exit 118B off Interstate 64 and travel toward Charlottesville on the 29/250 Bypass. Take second exit onto Route 250 Business East. Turn right at the top of the exit. Turn right onto Emmet Street at fourth traffic signal, travel 2 blocks, turn left into the Central Grounds Garage.

Women's Basketball Parking
Complimentary parking is available in the surface lot in front of the John Paul Jones Arena on a first-come, first-served basis for all women’s basketball games.

General Rules:

University of Virginia basketball should be an enjoyable experience for all guests. In order to promote athletic excellence and fan enjoyment, we ask for your assistance in displaying a high degree of sportsmanship at all times. Should you encounter any problems, please notify a member of the Event Staff. The University of Virginia reserves the right to remove from the arena those individuals whose conduct disrupts players, coaches, officials or other guests. NO refunds will be given in these cases.

- Alcoholic beverages ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED within John Paul Jones Arena. Persons identified with alcohol will be asked to leave the premises. Guests appearing intoxicated will be subject to ejection and turned over to Police. NO refunds will be given in these cases.
- All banners, signs and flags are prohibited in John Paul Jones Arena.
- Still cameras with lenses less than six inches are allowed, however flash photography and stands/tripods are prohibited. Video cameras are not allowed inside the stadium.
- All gates open 2 hours prior to kick off.
- Prohibited items at John Paul Jones Arena include, but are not limited to:
• Horns, whistles or artificial noisemakers of any kind
• Alcoholic beverages
• Bags and Backpacks
• Balls of any type
• Containers (i.e. bottled water, etc.)
• Coolers (hard or soft sided)
• Food of any kind
• Glass bottles
• Strollers
• Tripods
• Umbrellas
• Video/movie camera
- There is NO re-entry.
- All persons entering the stadium will be subject to a visual search by stadium personnel prior to entering the gates. In addition, persons carrying purses, diaper bags, etc. will be asked to open such items for inspection.
- Virginia is committed to providing a smoke-free environment in all its facilities, both indoor and outdoor. Smoking WILL NOT BE PERMITTED in stadium seating areas, restrooms or entryways leading to the seating area.

Driving direction to John Paul Jones Arena:
FROM THE EAST/WEST:
Take I-64 to exit 118B (Culpeper-Charlottesville). Take third exit (Leonard Sandridge Road). Continue straight and after the second signal (Copeley Road), the John Paul Jones Arena will be on your left.

FROM THE NORTH:
Take Route 29 south into Charlottesville (Emmet Street). Continue on 29 South Business (Emmet Street) past the exit for the 29/250 bypass. Turn right on Massie Road and the John Paul Jones Arena will be on the right.

FROM THE SOUTH:
Take Route 29 to the Leonard Sandridge Road exit. Continue straight and after the second signal (Copeley Road), the John Paul Jones Arena will be on your left.
