Family owned for 50 years, the hallmark of this approachable, affordable steakhouse is hand-cut meat and dinner trimmings that are included in the price of entrées. An important element is the dance floor: a live combo plays danceable standards Wednesday through Saturday, a major draw in an era when a supper club ambience is rare. Recommended dishes include prime rib, lamb chops and surf 'n' turf, the latter of which is a survivor along with ballroom dancing. House-made bread and salad dressings are first-rate, and service is as friendly and unassuming as the aura of the rooms. Dining and dancing may have gone out of style at some places, but not here.
