Le Jardin Cafe Description:
Typical of small, college towns, DeLand is filled with upside surprises including this rare find. Jean-Louis Tran and his wife Yen bring the flavors of France and Vietnam to a charming little space (it can seat only a couple of dozen diners indoors) in a Victorian streetscape. Order from the Vietnamese side of the menu (grouper Mekong-style, cooked-to-order vegetarian woks with tofu, lemon grass with chicken or shrimp) or the costlier French side (duck magret; veal scallop sizzled in olive oil with garlic, mushrooms and tomato; ostrich; venison).
