Although parking can be tight when the adjoining bank is open, getting there is part of the fun because entering the restaurant takes you past an enormous mosaic and waterfall covering an entire wall. Sit outdoors to enjoy the song of the water, or indoors, which gets noisy when it's crowded. Many diners make a meal from homemade soups and salads, served with pillow-size cinnamon rolls, but there's also a good choice of pasta dishes, steaks, sandwiches and, at Sunday brunch, eggs Benedict. For a full feast, start with a leisurely drink in the cozy bar and then shift to the dining room to order chicken Cordon Bleu or French onion steak, with the famous bread pudding for dessert.
