Big Bowl Description:
Big Bowl brings Asian noodles to the masses. The mood at this Galleria restaurant is lively and fun, and reading the wise-cracking menu is a good time in itself. Kids will love the ingredient bar, which lets them pick their own meat, vegetables and sauce before turning it over to one of the chefs frantically working the woks in the steamy open kitchen. We find that when Big Bowl is crowded (which is almost always the case), the food can seem a little rushed. Try the kung pao chicken and Thai curry beef though appetizers fare best, with the green vegetable pot stickers with chives, Chinese mustard greens and spinach as the standout. Spicy dishes could be a lot spicier---even when we've asked to be scorched, we've been given barely any heat. Vegetarians and health-conscious diners will appreciate the adaptable menu.
