Tokyo Dining Description:
The Japan pavilion's teppan tables are still at the back of the expansive pavilion's second floor, but you wouldn't recognize the place. The chic 140-seat Tokyo Dining on the front of the second floor features a centerpiece "show stage" sushi bar where diners can watch female sushi chefs in action. (No seats at the bar, however, you have to take a table). Nearly 50 varieties of sushi and sashimi and six varieties of saké are on the menu. The food is nothing extraordinary, but the sushi is pristine. Munch on edamame while you peruse the sushi list, or, if you prefer your fish cooked, tempura is the favored style. Also on the menu are grilled salmon, a New York strip steak and chicken---a little something for every taste. The tall windows onto World Showcase Promenade provide a lovely vista, especially after dark when the nightly IllumiNations fireworks and laser show is under way. Sip a saké and enjoy the view.
