Redrock Canyon Grill Description:
Redrock Canyon Grill carries on the tradition of big, bold flavors in a setting to match. Forget that this is part of a restaurant group: Redrock is one restaurant where management and kitchen staff pay attention to the details with fresh food and inventive cooking. Yes, you may find dishes that sound familiar, for who hasn't enjoyed appetizers such as the spinach-artichoke dip? Often these are pallid offerings with little oomph---here the mixture is melded with a generous portion of Monterey Jack cheese. The dippers? Fresh tortilla chips. And roast chicken is ubiquitous, but here the half-roaster is rubbed with 30-plus spices before it cooks over an open wood fire. We've loved the ribs, too, but would look also at the hearty meal-in-one sandwiches, such as the Raucous Reuben and the crab cake sandwich on a toasted kaiser roll. Incidentally, if fancy contemporary food seems too daunting, tuck into Melodie's chicken pot pie, a lusty, thick-crusted, deep-dish meal baked in an iron skillet that's enough to share.
