Boxcar Cantina Description:
The first thing you have to know about this Northern New Mexican eatery is that it's really on Hamilton Avenue, an extension of Railroad Avenue, and not on Old Field Point Road, which usually gets customers turned around. But if you let your other senses (your hearing and a little common sense thrown in) be your guide, you will likely find it soon enough. Just follow the noise echoing from within the restaurant, which is amplified by the tin roof. The drinks, especially the margaritas, are king size, which only adds to the merriment. And the ambience, while noisy, helps to suppress the fact that you're paying Greenwich prices for mundane Mexican fare.
