A wide variety of dishes from every country that touches the Mediterranean Sea might explain the contented expressions in Dodiyós's dining room. Whether you're pining for a burger made with Boutwell Farms grass-fed beef or leg of lamb with lemony Greek potatoes, you'll find it here. We suggest the spaghetti a la Barcelona with jumbo shrimp, scallops and mussels in a garlicky wine sauce. At dinner, the tuna tartare with layers of orzo, avocado and tomatoes drizzled with spicy harissa and basil oil is a must. Grouper medallions (pesce skordalia) are lightly crisped and served with garlic-laced mashed potatoes. Short ribs (moschari stifado) are prepared with whole baby onions and baby potatoes in a rich tomato and red wine sauce spiked with rosemary and balsamic vinegar. Vegetarians will find tempting fare including a vegetable version of moussaka. Sweets include a rice pudding crème brûlée and cheesecake with a fig topping. Almost hidden behind a back wall is a long, narrow "market street" bazaar with fresh produce, cheeses, meat and seafood, bins of spices and decorative items. Those who skipped dessert will not want to miss the bags of spice and Greek wedding cookies. The well-ordered wine list includes lots of values and, as might be expected, a good number of Greek wines.
