The food, executed by chef Joel St. John, impresses with straightforward style and right-on technique. Here, your USDA Prime dry-aged steak is cooked exactly to order. We frequently order the tall and tender filet mignon. Sidekicks don't disappoint either. The enormous baked potato is spiffed with crisp bacon and blue cheese crumbles, while spinach is gently sautéed with tart cherry tomatoes and fresh garlic instead of drowning in heavy cream. Salads are also substantial; look for seasonal specials and a winning Caesar smacking with anchovies. Crystal stemware and a carefully chosen by-the-glass wine program featuring prime American producers only add to the luxurious, yet understandably pricey, experience.
