Hot Tin Roof Description:
There is no dining room like this anywhere else, period; an artist hand-painted the murals and motifs on the walls and the ceiling. Teamed with rose tapestry upholstery, jeweled palm frond-shaped chandeliers and gleaming mahogany floors, the room offers a splendid box office setting (on the second floor) from which to look out over the theatrical Gulf, especially at sunset. If you can't resist the salty breeze, dine at a table on the slate patio. The menu is as whimsical-yet-classic as the décor. Appetizers perk up an appetite for coastal, creative flavors with offerings like scallop carpaccio with mignonette, bacon-guava barbecue oysters, ceviche with candied sweet potatoes and corn nuts. Main course take the journey even further, with lobster panzanella, papaya pink shrimp salad, pork rib chop with blood orange sauce, and the signature Hot Tin Paella. Last but not least, desserts like tequila and agave panna cotta are a must in this "over the top" setting.
