Mio Babbo's Description:
A tiny place in the heart of Westwood Village, Mio Babbo's has been a beloved hangout for Bruin faculty and students for three decades. The oldest restaurant site in Westwood, the place was called Di Stefano's until 2003, when the name was changed to Mio Babbo's Ristorante ("my father's restaurant") to honor the owner's dad. It's a steadfastly reliable place in which to settle into a cozy booth and enjoy some old-fashioned favorites like lasagna (a house specialty), spaghetti carbonara, veal Marsala, chicken cacciatore or a thin-crusted pizza before or after a movie. The setting is intimate and laid-back, with a hint of old-world charm, and the service is usually as warm as the oven-fresh bread.
