Yang Chow Description:
Opening its doors in 1977, Yang Chow---the place is named after the town outside of Shanghai from where the five founding Yun family brothers come---has become a Chinatown institution. Prices are reasonable and favorite dishes like the slippery shrimp (lightly battered shrimp possessing both heat and sweetness), lamb with scallions, and Szechwan wontons in a zippy aromatic broth keep bringing us back for more. Or try seafood dishes like scallops in hot garlic sauce.
