Amalfi Restaurant Description:
A sleek, attractive restaurant with warm earth tones, candlelit tables, sheer curtains and a fireplace, Amalfi is a convivial place in which to enjoy solid---and not always predictable---trattoria fare. Thin-crusted pizzas are good for sharing, and a respectable roster of pastas includes pumpkin ravioli with braised short rib, fettuccine with smoked salmon and English peas in a pink sauce, and spaghetti bolognese. A Barolo-infused risotto, intense in terms of both appearance and taste, is a worthy choice. Entrées feature roasted duck in an orange-ginger sauce, Cajun-seared tuna in lime-chive beurre blanc, and rack of lamb. The restaurant is co-owned by comedian-radio show host Adam Carolla, and after dinner you can head upstairs to the Room 5 lounge for an eclectic mix of music and comedy.
