Oki's Dog Description:
This longstanding dog-and-burger stand is an object of obsession among LA foodies---or an object of horror, depending on your perspective. The namesake is two hot dogs bundled into a giant tortilla together with chili, cheese, pastrami and several days' worth of cholesterol. Other highlights of the dozen-plus-strong menu include the teriyaki steak burrito (shredded steak with sautéed cabbage, onion, bell pepper and tomato), pastrami burrito, burgers topped with chili, cheese and bacon, and luscious, dense fries, all served blistering hot and in embarrassing volume. Atmosphere is nonexistent (outdoor tables facing a rather dilapidated section of Pico, or wood-paneling and orange Formica booths indoors), but when the menu tops out under $5 (including fries!) we'd advise you to go with the flow and enjoy it.
