The Warren Tavern Description:
One of the oldest establishments in greater Boston (it dates to the American Revolution), this Charlestown tavern oozes Colonial charm with its low-ceiling beamed timbers and wall sconces. Stopping by for a beer can be a soul-warming experience. But the magic of the ambiance doesn't rub off on the menu, which tries too hard to be all things to all people. Dishes may include Caesar salad, Thai chicken stir-fry, shrimp and scallop scampi, and grilled sirloin tips. Still, it's worth the price of a mediocre burger or two just to drink in the Revere-era atmosphere.
