Royal China Description:
The little dining room trolleys that are so much a part of the experience of dim sum restaurants in other cities are nowhere in evidence at Royal China. But the restaurant remains one of the few places in the metro area that specialize in the Chinese tradition of small plates of savory snacks. Ambience is totally lacking, but that fact doesn't interfere with the pleasures of such dishes as spicy squid in black bean sauce, Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce and crackly-fried paper shrimp, besides a slew of various kinds of airy dumplings. The Chinese entrées from the regular menu are good, but not exceptional.
