Monty's Raw Bar Description:
A no-nonsense South Florida seafood experience, Monty's is good for families, teeming with tourists and frequented by locals yearning for affordable seafood. Stone crabs are an all-you-can-eat deal, but, good as they are, that's not the only reason to dine here. The Cajun-style peel 'n' eat shrimp are positively addictive and the grilled grouper sandwich amounts to a local delicacy. Don't expect to be wowed by décor or ambience. Music, often live, is way too loud. And the food is served, not too attractively, on flimsy paper plates with plastic utensils. But we have to admit, without apology, that this longtime after-work hangout serves up no-frills, tasty chow. Also located at 300 Alton Rd., Miami Beach, 305-673-3444.
