Downtown Birmingham shoppers and office workers flock to this affordable spot at lunchtime to savor falafel, hummus, spinach pie and tabbouleh. Vegetarians, especially, drop in for a quick bite and a raw juice cocktail. We recommend the shish tawook or chicken shwarma, with lentil soup or salad, and a side of rice. But it's easy to fill up (happily) on a plate of baba ghanouj with pita bread and a fattoush salad, too. Those on a budget might want a simple hummus and tabbouleh pita sandwich; it's a lot of flavor for $2.75.
