The Moose Preserve Bar & Grill Description:
Sometimes sport bars decorated like mountain lodges just feel phony, but not here. Maybe it's because it doesn't take itself that seriously. Yes, there are mounted animal heads on the wall, but what self-respecting hunter ever shot the jackalope (part rabbit, part antelope, all fake) that's hanging proudly over MP's smaller bar? This knotty pine heaven offers two sections: one side has a long bar, booths and tables, and the other features two pool tables (usually occupied by either suburban suits or twentysomethings), video games, four-tops and a smaller, chummier bar. Each side has several TVs, always set to some serious body-contact sporting event. As for the food, if it lives in the wild, it's probably on the menu, so expect emu, fish, elk, venison, duck, wild boar sausage and rabbit, all served with fresh vegetables. The kitchen also prepares fare like grilled chicken sandwiches and half-pound burgers. Try the barbecue buffalo balls---homemade buffalo meatballs basted with Jack Daniel's barbecue sauce.
