Jim & Nick's Bbq Description:
Slow-smoked barbecue from a real brick pit lures diners here. The pile of wood outside the kitchen door isn't just for decoration. It's used to smoke shoulders, ribs and beef brisket. Use it for a quick snack stop, and savor the smoked pork hot links, four spicy, nicely textured and quite large sausages, with a spicy pimento cheese and Saltine crackers, or riblets and very good fries. The well-seasoned meat doesn't need, thankfully, the too ketchup-y barbecue sauce. We recommend the smoked beef brisket and pulled pork, the latter with a good proportion of outside meat to inside, and slaw, potato salad and collards among sides. Classic pies are the dessert choices. A nice touch: Servers "tote" the to-go orders out to the car for you.
