Located in a cavernous building near the Raleigh-Durham airport, Kemp's offers a menu that looks like those of North Carolina's Calabash, the coastal village famous for its seafood shanties. Tuck into the complimentary basket of crisp, onion-y hushpuppies, and sip "Southern wine"---sweet iced tea. Choose from a variety of fish and shellfish cooked any way you like. But it's best to follow the local tradition here---and Calabash-style means batter-fried. After savoring a generous combination platter with, say, jumbo shrimp, catfish, oysters and scallops, you'll appreciate the reason why the parking lot is full.
