Café Panache is the very definition of metamorphosis. Stylish and comfortable in the manner of the French countryside, this pretty little place was once a Long John Silver's. Now it has evolved into a fine restaurant. Credit chef-owner Kevin Kohler, who uses only local, fresh seasonal ingredients gathered from neighboring farmers and changes the menu as often as three times a week. The food is always intriguing with eight to ten appetizers and entrées. These dishes may range from curried Bouchet mussels to roasted duck with coffee, orange and cocoa sauce. The pasta is handmade and hand cut. Café Panache is a bring-your-own restaurant, so match the food with the best your wine cellar has to offer.
