Bahrs Landing Description:
The mainstays at this landmark Jersey Shore restaurant are simple fish house classics: fisherman's platter, clam chowder, steamers and fresh lobsters (they sell in excess of 1,500 pounds of them a week). These dishes please the modern diner now as much as they did the original customers when the place opened in 1917. The same family still runs Bahr's in the tried-and-true fashion of the founders. Bahr's Landing, for all its humble manners, serves the locals, the tourists, as well as the rich and famous. Although it oozes nostalgic charm, this old seadog of a restaurant has learned a few notable new tricks such as importing fresh seafood from all over the world and serving some fine grill specialties that can be enjoyed along with the wonderful view of the water.
