It's the river view that captivates at this Jersey Shore restaurant. The interior is simple and appealing with wide windows that make the very best of the Shrewsbury River location just across a spit of sand from the Atlantic Ocean. Seafood excels with dishes such as apricot scallops---a veritable symphony of flavors and textures comprised of crunchy and tart Granny Smith apple slices and a side dish of wild rice which serves to amplify the silky texture and subtle taste of the scallops glazed with apricot. But there are other unexpected treasures such as a homey Donegal beef stew studded with bits of sweet carrots and onions in a heady broth and served in a bread bowl, or an elegant duck a l' orange. The service is polished and friendly. The wine list is well chosen to match the cuisine with lots of selections, all priced fairly.
