Housed in one of the loveliest little Victorian hotels on the Jersey Shore, The Grenville Restaurant offers romantic and elegant dining. The wraparound porch with its dramatic draperies and colorful flower boxes is popular for lunch on sunny days, and the formal dining room was made for serious handholding. Seafood and steaks are a mainstay on the menu but there are engaging and offbeat side dishes and appetizers well worth sampling such as bagna cauda, the Piemontese warm dip of garlicky olive oil and anchovies served with roasted vegetables, or the filling Greek lettuce wraps. Whole fish come to the table beautifully plated and nicely cooked.
