Cooter Brown's Description:
At Cooter Brown's, you will find a roster of 400 domestic and imported beers (including more than 40 on tap), clearly a prime draw for this tavern and sports bar in the very crux of the Riverbend. But Cooter's has a few compelling offerings in the food department as well. The small oyster bar turns out freshly shucked local bivalves until as late as 2 a.m., while the tavern kitchen serves links of hot boudin and upwards of two dozen po' boys stuffed with such items as entire crawfish pies. Cooter's also offers a Chicago-style hot dog with all the trimmings. You'll also find burgers, fried seafood and typical bar snacks such as cheese fries. To get there, take the streetcar as far uptown as it goes, to stop #43, and then walk a block to the restaurant.
