Among New Orleans' abundance of pizza purveyors, Reginelli's stands out for the thick, flavorful crusts, imaginative combinations and weekly specials that always draw a crowd. In particular, Tuesday night's $2 pitchers of Abita beer seem to make a pizza night extra appealing. A typical specialty pizza is lavished with pesto sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil and roasted red peppers. The fillings for two-fisted grilled focaccia sandwiches are our favorites: slices of chicken roasted with rosemary, moistened with goat cheese and crisp spinach. The neatly maintained and efficiently run dining room adds allure.
