Despite familiar favorites like roast turkey and dressing, shell steak and meatloaf, this Upper East Side gem offers new interpretations of regional fare like the Philly cheesesteak egg role: thinly sliced beef, onions and cheese wrapped in a large, crispy egg roll and served with ketchup. The butternut squash soup tastes of autumn spices in a thick and hearty purée. Main course dishes successfully layer flavors as well. The black pepper-crusted yellowfin tuna consists of a sashimi-grade tuna filet finished in a red wine balsamic reduction and served on a bed of spinach with caramelized onion mash and pickled ginger. The seafood mixed grill is an enticing array of jumbo shrimp, PEI mussels and grilled calamari simmering in a broth of fresh herbs, lemon, white wine and garlic.
