Located around the corner from the Naro Theatre in the heart of Norfolk's historic Ghent district, the No Frill Bar & Grill is a favorite stop for opera- and theater-goers as well as locals. Co-owner and executive chef Jon Kliner offers a diverse menu that features meatloaf, teriyaki- and sesame-grilled tuna, funky chicken salad and grilled portobellos. Many of the dishes---crabs, scallops, barbecued chicken and ribs---have a definite local flavor with just a hint of Cajun and Mexican spices tossed into the mix to give them a bit of punch. Dessert nirvana may be found with the blondie tower, chocolate-bourbon pecan pie, and four-layer coconut cream cake. We also recommend the vegetarian nachos and pita sandwiches. There are ten-plus exotic martinis, such as the French Kiss or the Bellintini, all served to the rim in the six-ounce martini glasses. Also located at Hilltop in Virginia Beach.
