Bice Ristorante Description:
This link in the Bice chain of upscale Italian bistros that started in Milan in 1926 and now spans the globe is not your average hotel restaurant. Polished wood and marble floors and graceful flower arrangements give this restaurant a very fancy air---but nothing about the place is stuffy. The waiters are attentive and the dining room is relatively quiet, even when it's full. There's a small selection of wines by the glass, but the real stars are available only by the bottle. Though the menu changes seasonally, entrée stalwarts include a ravioli stuffed with beef short ribs and spinach, and scaloppine di vitello, medallions of veal in a rich mushroom sauce. Seafood dishes are light and simple, such as the sea bass with zucchini, squash, sweet peppers and olives. Carb-laden delights include seafood risotto and spinach-and-ricotta tortelloni. Appetizers like a generous antipasto platter with dry cured meats, olives, fruits and cheese, and fritto misto round out the traditional menu. Whatever you do, save room for the classic panna cotta, or tiramisu.
