Whispering Canyon Cafe Description:
Whispering Canyon is a big, family-style dining room just off the lobby in Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Open for three meals a day, serious carnivores come for the all-you-can-eat barbecue skillet, with smoked pork ribs, pulled pork, oven-roasted chicken and beef brisket. It's not gourmet, but it is tasty, with the meats smoked in the hotel's own smokehouse. Along with the mountain of meat comes salad, cornbread, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans and corn on the cob. Desserts are extra, but we don't believe we've ever seen anyone request one. If you don't feel like pigging out, you can get a single order of maple-glazed trout or pasta. The hearty breakfasts are highly recommended, but only if you're a big eater. The sunrise skillet has scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, and waffles. Seconds are free.
