This wine-friendly bistro spotlights a small- and large-plate menu of sophisticated comfort food, often with an Asian accent. Chef-owner Derek Davis places the emphasis on sustainable and seasonal ingredients with dishes like shrimp and spinach ravioli in a lobster-basil-tomato-brandy-butter sauce and a multitude of salads, including a toss of spinach, bacon and apples. Don't miss the barbecue Duroc baby backs, snappy with a tamarind black bean barbecue sauce, or try the grilled-shrimp burrito topped with avocado salsa and cilantro. Well priced small plates are fun to share. There is always a three-course lunch and a three-course dinner, with the wine list half off on Sundays. Or you can BYO without a corkage fee---one bottle per couple, according to house rules.
