The Angus Barn Description:
The Angus Barn's chef, Walter Royal, proved his mettle when he won the title of "Iron Chef" on the Food Network's TV show. Though the surprisingly elegant Barn has been a special occasion destination for almost fifty years, Royal has kicked the menu up a few notches. Traditionalists will find the same juicy Prime steaks and rib roasts that have made the Barn the pre-eminent Raleigh steakhouse, but trendier gourmets will approve of his other specialties, such as the three-cheese ravioli, lobster tail, pork spare ribs and a bounty of grilled fish, pasta and other dishes. Beef is aged in the restaurant's own aging facility and grilled to order. Whatever you order, save room for dessert---especially if the first-rate blackberry cobbler is available. The Barn's wine list offers the largest selection in the state.
