Macaroni Grill Description:
Whether you started out in the mood or not, you’ll probably have fun at this colorful national chain. Each table has its share of crayons for drawing, and every so often, waiters burst into song. Fun also equals big eats, and giant portions rule. If you want lighter fare, stick to salads or sandwiches for lunch, though pizzas are also popular. Dinners mean heartier beef, veal and chicken dishes---many are family recipes. If it gets crowded, and it often does on weekend nights, you can sit in the bar area---the atmosphere is not quite as much fun, but then at least you get served. The kitchen offers pretty desserts---check the dessert tray---and the caramel cheesecake is a sure bet.
