Skybox Sports Bar & Grill Description:
Few places offer sports junkies more comfort than their own couch, but this bar makes a good case for leaving the remote behind, particularly if you're in the mood for pizza. During the weekends, its 80 flat-screens show all the big games all day long, with occasional live music supplementing the televised entertainment in the evenings. By focusing on nightlife, its management is tapping into what the Landing does best. It's a bit of a departure from the Southern food and see-and-be-seen vibe the venue cultivated as Skybox under the former owners, a collection of pro athletes and rap artists, but there is something to be said for casual attire and finger food. And with the 3 a.m. license, the bar remains open (selling pizza by the slice) until the very last West Coast game ends.
