If there's an anchor for the craziness that is Grand Avenue, it's Dixie's. Like a Southern belle, she sits quietly offering tasty regional delicacies from a staff versed in the art of hospitality. We love the tart, pungent margaritas, and like to order a side of the crisp fries, served in a cutesy miniature grocery bag, to make a very happy hour. The burgers, blackened shrimp quesadillas, and other bar fare are also tasty, but we come back for the in-house smoked ribs. Grab your friends and order the huge sampler platter: baby-back ribs, beef ribs, Cajun chicken breast, coconut shrimp and more slathered in the spicy shack sauce.
