Aldino at the Vineyard Description:
Aldino, located in a suburban strip center that seems to be expanding at big-bang speed, generates its own noise, ably abetted by lubricated Looplanders, with a menu that hits all the expected Italian buttons. Funghi con polenta drizzled with balsamic, and scampi Aldino in tarragon cream represent opposite ends of the antipasto spectrum; we prefer the light farfalle Cristina with radicchio and mushrooms in a Parmesan broth to sturdier selections like the penne alla vodka. But we can be had by the salmon Pavarotti in a lush dill cream. Creamy sauces strike again in several "special Tuscan selections" such as pollo alla Valdostana with prosciutto, mozzarella and more. We think that a peppered, aged rib-eye with wild mushrooms is more truly Tuscan. A risotto alla Milanese is also more extravagantly dressed (think mushrooms, chicken and Fontina cheese) than would be seen in Italy's fashion capital. A decadent tiramisu with Kahlúa and a classic crème brûlée are fine finales to evening's end.
