Korean Bbq House Description:
Korean B.B.Q. House (also called Go Hyang Jib) has been sold to different owners who have jettisoned the sushi sidebar in favor of a Chinese coda, but the Korean menu remains much the same. The pancake with oysters and scallions retains its rustic appeal, and the multi-modal pan chan continue to delight. Bi bin bap, the kitchen-sink Korean mix of vegetables, bulgogi and a fried egg atop rice, is mix-it-yourself fun (we recommend the sizzling stone pot version), and the house's incendiary hot paste can be blended in at will. More heat might be expected of a squid stir-fry, which lacks the fire of previous preparations, but the open-flame scallops are both simple and surprisingly satisfying. The décor could now use a lift to match the current regime.
