The County Line Description:
Rib King Randy Goss has been a benevolent, local despot for decades with his barbecue served on actual china plates, not grease-stained butcher paper, and his kingdom now includes Albuquerque and Oklahoma. True, the authenticity implied by greasy paper and smoke-stained walls is a dimension missing at The County Line, which leans more toward rustic roadhouse. Still, County Line cranks out robust ribs, from baby-backs to big beef, and we have no compunctions about picking them up to prize the last smoky shreds from the bones. Those of a less primitive persuasion may choose instead from the likes of platters of peppered turkey breast or lean brisket, fried tortilla-crusted catfish or the County Line Special 12-ounce rib-eye. House-made desserts include apple cobbler. Note: there is a County Line outlet on the River Walk downtown with essentially the same menu.
