Novo Restaurant & Lounge Description:
Creekside dining on the brick patio shaded by an ancient oak tree makes this romantic spot good for meeting over a glass of wine, but it's the food that keeps people queued up out front. Owner Robin Covey prefers global dishes with bold flavors that appeal to a wide range of tastes, and collaborates closely with his team of chefs, including executive chef Justin Gabbert. The Novo menu changes seasonally, in part because of Covey's longstanding commitment to fresh ingredients and local farmers and producers. While new dishes might include such creations as osso buco with Oaxacan mole and polenta cake, some tried-and-true favorites are the hearty salmon bisque, the chicken satay served with house-made peanut sauce, and even the upscale nachos made with pork carnitas and black beans. Vegans and vegetarians also have a lot of choices, and be sure to check out the eclectic wine and beer list, which includes local wines, premium sakés, and about three dozen bottled beers.
